Keyboard Commands of Age of Conan

Like all MMO or RPG games, Age of Conan has some a lot key commands.  This post will list some of the main ones that many new players don't know but often ask about in Global.

In general, if you go to Settings -> Controls, you can see most of these as well as change them to whatever you'd like.

This post will probably be updated over time as features are added/removed or people mention different commands that are generally useful to players but not included.



Movement
Run/Walk Toggle - Backspace

Sustain Run/Walk: Number lock
Sidestep: Double tap Z and C (with weapons drawn) 
Strafe: Z and C
Move Forward: W or clicking both Left and Right Mouse buttons at the same time.

Weapons/Combat
Switch Weapons: Shift-R

Draw/Sheath Weapons - `  (Weapons must be sheathed to collect resources)
Assist: F
Target Enemy: Tab
Show Shields: Control
Move Shields: Double click Control-1 (all left), Control-2 (all top), Control-3 (all right), Control-4 (even)

Shortcut Bars
Lock/Unlock shortcut bars: Shift-L
Switch Shortcut bars: Shift-1, Shift-2, etc.

Inventory
Inventory: I
Split Inventory Items: Alt-Drag

Split inventory items: right click and select split or delete

Pull up Item/Ability Window: Shift-Click
Move items to a different page: Drag and hold over page numbers until page changes.


World Interface
Highlight Clickable items: G
Use Object: U
Emote Window: Y
Map: M

Hide/Unhide: H

Loot all: Shift-V

Chat
Tell: T (brings up /Tell in chat window)

Respond: R (brings up a tell to the last person who sent you a tell)  You can use arrow keys to toggle through people you've talked to


Abilities/Journal
Skills and Attributes: P

Abilities: B

Feats: N
Journal/Quest Log: J
AA's List: K
Toggle AA Action bar: Shift-K (this is where you drag your AAs that need to be equipped)
Faction Standing: L

Game Interface

Show Framerate: Control-Shift-F

Hide Interface: Control-Z
Print Screen: F11 (puts a jpg in your \Age of Conan\screenshots directory)

Logout: Alt-F10 or Escape -> Exit Game.  Wait 15 seconds to go back to character selection screen or click exit to exit game
Information Sheet: o (This is fairly useless)

Idiosyncrasies/Features/Bugs

You can't move an inventory item to your bank space and vice versa by dragging it onto an existing stack.  It needs to go to an empty space first, then it can be combined.

You can't craft or add a gem to an item when mounted or with weapons drawn just like you can't gather resources.
